Shabaz was an ITA All-American in both singles and doubles as he teamed with Drew Courtney to win the NCAA Doubles Championship, while individually, he advanced to the quarterfinals of the NCAA singles draw. He was ranked as high as No. 2 nationally this season and finished at No. 7. Shabaz capped his junior campaign at 35-11 overall. He was named All-ACC, selected as the Atlantic Region Player to Watch and chosen as the Most Outstanding Player of the ITA National Team Indoor Championship.

Boland won the state coach of the year accolade after being named the ACC Coach of the Year in 2010. He led the Cavaliers to a 39-2 overall record, including a perfect 11-0 ACC ledger, and the program’s third consecutive ITA National Team Indoor Championship. Virginia won its fourth straight ACC Championship and finished the year ranked No. 3 nationally.

Jenkins was selected as the State Rookie of the Year following a stellar first season in Charlottesville. He ended the year ranked No. 45 nationally and competed in the NCAA Singles Championship, advancing to the second round. Jenkins finished the year at 35-10 overall. He was the Atlantic Region Singles Champion and was selected as the region’s Freshman of the Year as well.

Shabaz and Jenkins headlined the VaSID First Team choices, joining teammates Drew Courtney and Sanam Singh. Shabaz and Singh, who was named the VaSID State Player of the Year in 2009, were the only repeat selections on the All-State first team. VCU’s Thibaut Charron, who was the CAA Player of the Year, and Virginia Tech’s Yoann Re rounded out the first team singles choices. On the doubles side, Virginia had a pair of teams honored on the first team as Shabaz and Courtney, the NCAA Doubles Champions, made the squad along with the team of Singh and Houston Barrick, who garnered the honor for the second straight season. The William and Mary duo of senior Keziel Juneau and junior Sebastien Vidal rounded out the doubles first team.

Virginia and William and Mary both had a pair of players selected to the All-State second team in singles. Barrick coupled his first team selection in doubles with a second team showing in singles and was joined by teammate Lee Singer. Juneau and Tribe freshman Jamie Whiteford both received All-State second team honors as well. Old Dominion’s Tobias Fanselow, Radford’s Ivan Salec and Virginia Tech’s Luka Somen rounded out the All-State second team in singles. The All-State doubles second team was comprised of the William and Mary team of Vidal and Whiteford, the ODU tandem of Fanselow and Benjamin Chomette, the James Madison pairing of Mike Smith and Matt King and the Radford twosome of Selac and Thomas Dehaen.
