The Jack Tale Players presented entertaining and educational plays from 1975 to 2012, with traditional music and stories of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The show has delighted young and old with its fast-paced action, energetic actors, innovative staging, and foot-stomping music. R. Rex Stephenson, the writer/director for the company, combines the art of traditional storytelling with theatre to create unique story theatre. The Jack Tale Players' final reunion show was Oct. 27, 2012. Rex and several other performers continue to tell tales as the Jack Tale Storytellers.
