      Mutiny, pirates, and buried treasure add up to great family entertainment in Ferrum College’s Sale Theatre on November 29 and December 1. Ferrum College Drama Professor Rex Stephenson’s 70-minute adaptation of Robert Louis Stephenson’s Treasure Island will recreate the adventures on the Hispaniola, as pirates and heroes search for the ill-gained loot of infamous pirate Captain Flint.

     The Thursday, November 29 performance will begin at 7:30 p.m. Admission is $5.00 for adults and $2.00 for children. The Saturday, December 1 performance includes a pre-show meal. The meal begins at 6:15 p.m. and the performance is at 7:30 p.m. The cost for both meal and performance is $12.75 for adults, $10.00 for ages 13-16, and $5.00 for ages 2-12.

     Stephenson’s Treasure Island cast includes 20 Ferrum drama students, faculty members, and area elementary students.
