STUDENT TELEPHONE SERVICE FEATURES
 

The Ferrum College Telephone Services Office offers services to Ferrum students, faculty and staff. All telephone equipment, services and billings are coordinated on campus through the Telephone Services Office. Information on these services can be obtained from the Telephone Services Office located in Bassett Hall Lobby, Room 5 or by calling 4224 from a campus telephone. Listed below are some of the features available through the Telephone Services Office:

LOW MONTHLY FEES
Low monthly service charge of $3.95.

LOW RATES
Direct dial domestic calls are billed at 12.9 cents per minute rates--day rate and 8.5 cents per minute--nights and weekends. International calls are discounted at 20% less ATT DDD rates. Less expensive than most credit card calling or calling collect.

PERSONAL AUTHORIZATION CODES
Each student is assigned a personal authorization code for the purpose of making long distance calls. These codes can be used from most phones on campus with the exception of pay telephones. Codes should not be shared with anyone else and each student is responsible for calls made with their code. Misplaced, lost or stolen codes should be reported immediately to the Telephone Services Office.

MONTHLY STATEMENT
Itemized monthly statements are mailed on a regular basis (approximately every 4 weeks).

PARENT BILLING OPTION
Monthly statements can be mailed directly to your home address.

VOICE MAIL
Voice mail service and/or features are available to all students at no additional charge.

CUSTOMER SERVICE ON CAMPUS
A Telephone Services Office representative will work with you to resolve problems or answer questions. The Telephone Services Office is located in Bassett Hall Lobby, Room 5. Our telephone number from on campus is 4224, local from off campus, 365-4224 or long distance from off campus (540) 365-4224. Normal hours of service are Monday-Friday 8:30 AM-4:00 PM.
